Peter Everett Speaks Openly About Ex-colleague & Great Friend Matt Golinski

January 21st, 2012

YouTube Preview Image
Matt Golinski, one of the great chefs who worked on Ready Steady Cook with Peter Everett lost his family just after Christmas 2011 to a house fire. His wife Rachael and his 3 gorgeous children Willow, Sage and Starlia were all taken in this awful way. Matt left without his family, his home and third degree burns to 40% of his body – still in an induced coma.
It took a while for Peter to find the words and emotional strength to say what he has said in this video. His love, compassion and thoughts are with Matt Golinski, at this sad time.

There will be a fundraiser held at the restaurant Steel in Sydney in February. Please stay tuned for more information.

I also send my love and best wishes with Matt, words really can’t describe the sadness of something like this. I had Matt when I was a contestant on Ready Steady Cook, and he was such a great energy to be around.

10 CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS – 6. Secret Codes & Battleships by Darren Hayes

December 21st, 2011

Reviewed by Adrian Erdedi from www.AdrianErdedi.com

Each time I hear Darren Hayes has a new album, I get really excited, as I did when he launched his fourth solo studio album, Secret Codes and Battleships.

It’s been out since October 2011 but this is definately an album that everyone must have for 2011/2012.

Darren Hayes has presented an assortment of superbly written and melodically immaculate songs, all with that unmistakable voice that beams through the speakers with crystal clear precision.

Nothing pleases me more then having Secret Codes & Battleships playing, whether it’s driving, running, working out, having a dinner party or just simply wanting to sing my heart out!

There are many stand out tracks on this album, Bloodstained Heart and Taken By The Sea are my two special mentions, but also Good Walking Into The Room, Talk Talk Talk and Stupid Mistake are also incredible tracks.

Below is the Bloodstained Heart video – it’s so gorgeous…

Darren has impeccable attention to detail, producing a decadent and emotive album – one of which every household needs to have playing at some stage through the Christmas break.

Kaliyoga, Spain – Pure Inner & Outer Bliss

November 16th, 2011

Written by Bianca Venuti-Hughes

I have always wanted to visit a yoga retreat, and with a week free just for me at the end of  a wonderful European vacation – I booked in for a dynamic yoga retreat at Kaliyoga in Orgivy near Malaga, Spain.  The week has been everything I wanted and so much more.

From the minute we walked in to stunning mountain scenery and beautifully welcoming people – you could feel yourself letting go.  I was fortunate to have booked when there were only five of us as guests, which meant we really had a great opportunity to bond as a group, but to also get to exposed to so many more people (around 20!) from Kaliyoga and the nearby multicultural village.

Not only did we have two amazing yoga teachers for our morning and afternoon classes, but we were greeted by amazing staff, helpers, chefs, experts on nutrition, and had the options of so many different treatments and workshops.  This really made the week – from acupuncture, reiki, quantum and biomagnetic therapy to thai yoga, swedish and aromatherapy massages and raw food cooking workshops – there were some highly talented and friendly people – all there to help us take time out for ourselves, open our eyes internally, and encourage us to relax and rejuvinate.

Olga (a gorgeous Portuguese chef) ran workshops for us on her passion – sexy raw food and raw chocolate – which were a real highlight.  Going from eating ham, cheese, and wine around Europe to this amazingly delicious and nutritious food sent my body into total bliss.

We learnt how to make different flavours of chocolate from the superfoods cacao butter, cacao powder, and coconut sugar – our picks being chcolate with fresh mint, orange zest, a hazelnut and date filling, lemon & ginger, and fruit & nuts.  We also made a scrumptious take on lasagna – with marinated zucchini as pasta layered with marinated spinach, mushrooms, a walnut paste, and uncovered the secrets to a non cooked tomato sauce.

The week was nothing short of divine.  I had more depth in my yoga then ever before, was able to really let go – and left having had amazing mind, body, spirit, (and food!) experiences. I could have stayed for so much longer and I can’t wait to go back for more – perhaps for one of the detox weeks, or even for a bit longer as a volunteer helper (they have a fantastic program where helpers can take part in yoga and activities while doing a few jobs to assist with meals and maintaining the property).

It’s not often enough that we take time out for ourselves, and our wellbeing, and once experienced – your body just wants more.  No wonder they have so many repeat visitors!

Formentera – Heaven Off The Coast Of Spain

September 22nd, 2011

20110821-031529.jpg

I’ve just finished up a week in Ibiza with some great friends from Australia. What am amazing time it was!

One of the wonderful things we got to do was visit Formentera, 6kms off the coast of Ibiza – which is part of Spain’s Balearic Islands. The island is only 19kms long, with a population of only 10,000 people.

I went there by yacht and was told to expect beaches similar, if not better then those in the Maldives. I didn’t think it was going to be possible.

But as I walked over the little sand dune and was presented with the photo I took above, I thought I was in heaven. White sand, mixed in with pink sandy ripples, the crystal clear water and the temperature absolutely perfect. This was my kind of place to escape the craziness of Ibiza.

If there is one place you’ve probably never heard of, that is a must see, this is the place! I just wish I had more time there to enjoy it. Next time!

I stumbled across the facebook page of Peapod Photography recently, where I was really impressed. A fantastic collection of photos shot to capture different moods, feelings, emotions and events.

Peapod Photography focuses on candid and relaxed family, individual and couple portraits, bringing memories to life for life.

Bondi Beach Cruisers – Not Just For Summer!

June 15th, 2011

Just because it is now Winter, it doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the gorgeous sunshine Sydney has to offer throughout the crispy season (once this rain goes away!).

Just imagine this.

A gorgeous Sunday, bright clear skies, the sun shining down over Bondi Beach, only the very keen surfers out in the surf, cruising the streets with the crisp zephyr keeping you alert yet enjoying every second of what the positive ions in the air of the beach-side suburb.

Ok I might sound like I’ve taken some drugs and am in some fantasy land. Well I haven’t taken a thing.

You’re wondering why I said “cruising the streets”?

Well that’s because Bondi Beach Cruisers are the only way to get around Bondi (or anywhere else you might live in our stunning country).

Hawaiian beach culture comes to Australia with the opening of Bondi Beach Cruisers, online retailer of quality, stylish and affordable beach cruiser and lowrider bicycles.

Local couple, Resa Pratoni and Belinda Miller, driven by a love of vintage bicycles, launched the brand earlier this year.

Renewed popularity of bicycles and green transportation along with a strong community focus are the basis for this healthy living duo so expect to see them cruising around Bondi on the three available styles: Men’s Southend Cruiser, Ladies Iceberg Cruiser & The TRex Lowrider, all available online now or by pick-up in Bondi by prior arrangement.

I think these cruisers really capture the essence of what beach and Bondi lifestyle is all about. We all have a little beach bum trapped inside of us somewhere, and even if you don’t live anywhere near a beach, this is most certainly something you can ride with pride.

Chiva-Som Thailand – Haven Of Life

June 13th, 2011

Recently I had a taste of Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort on our very own soil at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne. My experience was nothing short of heaven on earth.

But what exactly is Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort all about?

You could quite easily describe Chiva-Som in Thailand is a place to go if you want to experience peace, tranquility, luxury, comfort, and complete titillation of every single one of your senses. Not to mention it’s key benefit – redefining, rediscovering, healing and cleansing the body, mind and soul.

Chiva-Som is quite possibly one of the only places on earth that have mastered the art of taking the human body on a journey of relaxtion, rest, stimulation, health, detox and wellness. It’s quite simply a health resort, but there is nothing simple about it – there is a reason why is it the best in the world. The proof it is the best in earth? Well Chiva-Som is the only spa to consistently appear in the top 3 of the Conde Nast Traveller (UK) Reader’s Travel Awards. Now if that doesn’t say best on earth – not sure what does!

Chiva-Som has just celebrated 15 successful years and is located in the Royal city of Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand, 185 kilometres south of Bangkok. Nestled within seven acres of luscious tropical gardens, the beachfront health resort captures all of those airborne positive ions to begin the rejuvenating process.

There are 58 rooms within the grounds, from charming studios, through to the large and spacious fully contained Thai Pavilions which has everything from a ocean view jacuzzi to a private butler.

With over 200 treatments available, in addition to the 70 treatment rooms, the resort facilities comprise a kinesis studio, gym, watsu pool, flotation pool, large outdoor swimming pool, bathing pavilion with kneipp bath, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and indoor swimming pool.

So what treatments are available? Well think of it and Chiva-Som most likely has it. Natural healing, physiotherapy, stress release therapy, kinesis, Thai boxing, Abhyanga, Tai Chi, Chi Nei Tsang, meditation, detoxification, weight management, inner peace, physical renewal, oriental therapies plus so much more which would take forever to list!

Now health and wellness isn’t just about what I’ve listed above. It’s not just about yoga or massages, but it’s about food. What goes into your body shows through the skin.

Indulging yourself in our award-winning Spa cuisine is easy. But indulging in organically-grown fruits and vegetables from the Chiva-Som garden is even easier, proving that low calorie, nutritious food can truly be a gourmet experience. Enjoy the elegance of fine dining in the Emerald Room or relax outdoors and the Taste of Siam restaurant by the sea.

Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat joined Chiva-Som in 2003 fusing his background of Thai and European cuisine with a philosophy of health and nutrition. His popular signature dishes draw people to Chiva-Som from all over the world, and I feel very privileged that I had the chance to taste these dishes for myself, prepared by the master himself right here in Australia.

No matter what it is you are wanting to achieve or gain, there are many different packages available to suit your needs – or create your own. It’s no wonder Chiva-Som is a “Haven of Life”.

BMW To Show Future Of Driving Pleasure In Melbourne

June 8th, 2011

Adding to the growing list of concept cars appearing at the Melbourne event, Australian International Motor Show, the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is a four-seater sports car featuring avant-garde design, futuristic technology, impressive performance and unsurpassed efficiency figures.

BMW says the Vision EfficientDynamics is representative of the future of driving pleasure as a result of ground-breaking drivetrain technology.

The combination of a three-cylinder turbo-diesel with a hybrid synchronous motor at the front axle and a full hybrid engine at the rear axle enables a maximum power output for the system of 241kW.

This innovative technology allows the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics to achieve 0–100km/h in just 4.8 seconds – extremely impressive for a car that also achieves 3.76 litres per 100 kilometres, and a CO2 emission rating of just 99 grams per kilometre.

The eye-catching performance, efficiency and emissions figures are no doubt helped by the 1.24-metre high coupe’s slippery shape – with an aerodynamic drag coefficient of just 0.22.

As a “plug-in” hybrid, the Vision EfficientDynamics features a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery housed centrally in a longitudinal chassis element, which can be fully charged at a conventional power socket within just two-and-a-half hours.

The electrical stores of the BMW permit zero emissions motoring for a range of 50 kilometres – with the 24-litre diesel tank, that range extends up to 700 kilometres.

While it may look like a motor show-only concept that will never see a showroom floor, the wild-looking vehicle is expected to make it into production as the BMW i8 by 2013.

BMW’s new i sub-brand has been established to focus on developing sustainable mobility solutions, and the i8 has been announced as one of the first two vehicles to launch.

The Australian International Motor Show is on at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and opens at 6pm on Friday 1 July and runs until Sunday 10 July.

It’s come to life and it’s now time for you to discover Sydney’s hottest young designers at Bizarre Bazaar, the pop-up twilight market this Thursday (tonight!!) between 5 and 9pm at Sussex Lane, Sydney.

“Bizarre Bazaar is a landmark event in Sydney’s fashion calendar, where the public are invited to experience cutting-edge fashion and explore the zenith of our emerging laneway culture,” said Christopher McLaren, Event Coordinator, A Series Of Fortunate Events.

“Snuggled in between the walls of Sussex Lane, fashion and music will blend to create an intimate shopping experience for all guests.  For four hours only, Bizarre Bazaar gives you the opportunity to purchase collections from 30 local fashion designers – unique, modern, ready-to-wear garments handmade by talented professionals.”

“It’s an opportunity that simply can’t be missed for both designers and Sydney’s fashion-savvy.”

Matt Young of Nine to Five Online spoke about Bizarre Bazaar – “Pop-up markets have really become a staple in the Sydney fashion scene, but it’s so refreshing to see one incorporating all elements of its surrounds; bars, eateries, fashion, shopping, it’s all here.  Bizarre Bazaar has taken the basic elements of a pop-up market and transformed it into a shopper’s paradise.”

Wander between any of the four participating laneway bars, enjoying the fantastic food and beverages designed specially for the event. Soak up the beats of Small Bar’s resident DJ who will be mixing decks for guests high atop the terrace balcony.

A phenomenal opportunity to get up close and personal with Sydney’s most talented young designers.  Show your support by spreading the word – this is a one-off event that can’t be missed!

It’s time a little more Melbourne came to Sydney!

Learn more at www.bizarrebazaar.info and I will see you there on the night – I can’t wait!!!

Simone’s Celebrity Birthday Video – by Adrian Erdedi

May 18th, 2011

YouTube Preview Image

On the 25th of April, it was my little sister Simone’s birthday.

I spent a couple of months getting footage together of people she knows and loves wishing her a happy 24th birthday. I gave Simone the video, and she absolutely loved it – she was beside herself.

She is a smart little Down Syndrome girl, she’s very clever, she’s fun and most of all, she is lovable. She loves celebrities, she loves television, she loves movies and most of all loves music. So I made sure I asked the people who will make her smile.

I never planned to make this video public, but I thought it would be a great way to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and urge that everybody does their bit to help these beautiful people feel part of the community. If you want to donate money to the Down Syndrome Association in your state, that too would help tremendously – aiding the people who aren’t as lucky as my sister having a loving home and family around her all the time.

A massive thankyou to:

Carmelo Pizzino

Simone, we all love you very much and we all hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Love Adrian xox

Chiva-Som At ISIKA – Crown Metropol Experience. Bliss.

May 16th, 2011

I recently had one of the most luxurious experiences, where I was pampered and traveled down a path of culinary perfection.

It was a taste of Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort at ISIKA Day Spa at the Crown Metropol, Melbourne. Chiva-Som joined ISIKA only for a limited time, so that a piece of the resort could be experienced here in Australia.

Chiva-Som Resort brought their skills and their therapists from Thailand to Melbourne to treat and spoil visitors of the ISIKA Day Spa, with a collection of treatments – from heavenly massages to more intense physiotherapy. Although it’s not their entire range of treatments, it gave an insight into the skill these masters have.

But not only did they bring their therapists to indulge the guests, they brought the Chiva-Som Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat – who created a mind blowing meal, not only unique and carefully designed, but extremely healthy by eliminating sugar, salt and oil.

So I think I should go back and tell you about my experience, right from the beginning.

I arrived at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne and greeted by the lovely concierge, directing me to the reception. “Mr. Erdedi, welcome to Crown Metropol, you are staying in the Health Retreat suite on level 26…”. It sounded very impressive. I gathered my luggage and made my way to the lift to go to the private section on level 26, which is not accessible to people staying in the normal rooms at the Metropol. Already, I was feeling a sense of exclusivity, but also seclusion.

I opened the door to my room and infront of me was a delicate room, with beautiful fixtures, neutrally toned calming colour scheme and floor to ceiling glass, with views over Melbourne CBD. I was in heaven. But in actual fact – heaven had not even begun.

I had time to drop my luggage, have a cup of herbal tea and get ready to go upstairs to level 27 for my treatments at ISIKA, by the Chiva-Som therapists.

Waiting in the retreat lounge, with a cup of aromatic herbal tea, it slowed down the heart rate, calmed my nerves and helped me tune out a little, so I could take in every little bit of my first treatment – a Deep Tissue Massage. My very kind Chiva-Som therapist guided me through to the treatment room, which smelt pleasant, lighting was dim and sounds of the forest in the background. I had stepped into my boudoir for the next couple of hours.

I got comfortable in privacy and comfort, and got ready to relax and be taken on a journey of experience, tradition and health rejuvenation. Using oils, my deep tissue massage began. And this is when I slowly drifted away… After some time, I woke up and turned over. It was time to do it all again, but on my front side. And again… I drifted away.

One hour later, I felt light. Refreshed. Somehow all of my tension diminished and I felt on top of the world.

The experience wasn’t over just yet.

Next up, another gracious therapist came into the room to give me my Chiva-Som Haven Body Polish. No Kenco chamois or sponges to be found. This is luxury. Chiva-Som body scrub was applied limb by limb and rubbed into my skin. Removing the impurities from my entire body. Smoothing the skin and stimulating cell growth. After a wash in my private shower, I was laying down again, having my body moisturised and nourished.

I can’t remember the last time my body felt immaculate.

After I had a nap, I went for a swim in the heated indoor infinity lap pool on level 27, a quick chill in the vitality pool and then 15 minutes in the steam room – all before I got ready for my superb Chiva-Som dinner.

Welcomed to the indulgent level 28 restaurant, ironically named ‘28′, a detox cocktail was handed to me and I was taken to my seat which the place setting was gleaming.

If there’s one thing the Crown Metropol has perfected, it’s quality and service.

Chiva-Som Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat prepared a meal beyond culinary heights.

Courses served up from the Chiva-Som menu included Thai specialties such as seared scallop, quinoa tabbouleh, mushroom confit and beetroot vinaigrette, black cod baked in mustard with lentil dhal, tamarind and mango chutney. For dessert, a poached pear which was absolutely beautiful and lightly sweetened – without any sugar. Every one of Paisarn’s dishes he has created for the mind, body and soul. So no salt, oils or sugar is used in any of his dishes. He uses natural and healthy ingredients to use instead.

After some exceptional wines, great conversation and a short stroll to my suite, I retired for the night.

Waking up the next morning was hard. It was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I honestly slept in the same position all night, without one single bit of back pain. I normally wake up in the morning stiff and with my joints cracking, but these beds at the Crown Metropol are simply amazing!

It was back up to the restaurant for breakfast. Now I don’t quite know how to describe it. Maybe in three words? VARIETY. INCREDIBLE. ORGANIC? Or maybe FRESH. CHOICE. UNFORGETTABLE? I can’t choose the words to describe the buffet breakfast at the Metropol, but one thing I know is that it’s by far the best one I have ever had in Australia. I’ve been to many resorts nationally, B&B’s, hotels, Day Spa’s, retreats and lodges, but none of them can compare to that of the one at the Crown Metropol. MAGNIFICENT.

So you are probably wondering what this article is about? Is it about Chiva-Som? ISIKA Day Spa? Or is it about the Crown Metropol? Well let me wrap this up for you…

Chiva-Som is no longer available here in Australia for you to try, BUT the REAL Chiva-Som is only a short flight away in Thailand, where the experience will surpass anything you could every expect and experience in your life. There is definately a reason why the likes of Elle McPherson, Dannii Minogue, Megan Gale, Kylie Minogue and Madonna visit this place annually.

ISIKA Day Spa is one of the the most luxurious day spa’s in the country, with an extensive menu to make your choice tough and therapists who know exactly what they are doing and how to look after you and your body.

Crown Metropol is clearly the leading hotel in Melbourne, with incredible choice for the palate, exceptionally well designed with the guests senses as a priority and service which cannot be matched.

These are the 3 reasons why I wrote this article – and these are the 3 reasons why I would do it all over again – no matter how much it costs.

Peter Everett thanks viewers of Ready Steady Cook for Logie nomination

April 27th, 2011

Check out the lovely message Peter Everett from Ready Steady Cook has made for all of his loyal fans and voters of the show for the 2011 Logies.

The show has been nominated for it’s 3rd Logie, but unfortunately Peter is no longer the host of the show. Late last year, Channel 10 dropped Peter without any warning. But being the gracious person he is, he still has all the love and appreciation in the world for the show, and all the people around Australia (and the World) who love him!

If you ask me, Peter will always be the face of Ready Steady Cook – no other host will be able to top him!

My Top 5 Favourite Songs Of ALL TIME. Song 1…

April 6th, 2011

My number 1 favourite song of all time is shared by many, but unknown by many more.

Heartfelt, almost to the point of depressing. It’s happiness. It’s just divine.

Glen Hansard is the voice of the band, and the brains of the words. He is also the incredible actor who simply played himself in the love story called Once, where the song first came to fruition singing alongside Markéta Irglová.

My number 1 favourite song of all time is Falling Slowly by The Frames.

I also have all of their albums which are phenomenal – I suggest getting The Cost. This album has Falling Slowly and is genius.

I’ve also added the version Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová sang together and toured the world with.

My Top 5 Favourite Songs Of ALL TIME. Song 2…

March 30th, 2011

My 2nd favourite song of all time comes from an Adelaide born Australian. She is beautiful and very talented, has achieved great international success and has made me cry. It could only be the unmistakeable crisp and heart stopping voice of Sia with the song Breathe Me.

Story goes… When Sia first recorded the song, she left the studio and just broke down in tears. As she was, in a raw and emotional state, she walked back into the studio and re-recorded it in her state and that is why you hear her voice crackling and her deep breaths and tears. Now that’s an artist.

FILM REVIEW: Yves Saint Laurent: Pierre Bergé, L’Amour Fou

March 27th, 2011

One of the most glorious movies I’ve seen in quite a while. Yves Saint Laurent: Pierre Bergé, L’Amour Fou. A beautiful film about the lives of these two men who spent a lifetime working, living and loving together.

I watched it in a private screening last week at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington as part of the French Film Festival in Sydney, but it is traveling around the country until the 10th of April, last day in Sydney is Sunday the 27th of March.

Anyway, back to the movie. It’s absolutely beautiful. I felt quite emotional throughout much of the film. It really was an emotional rollercoaster for me – some points I was happy, then I’d be sad, then happy, then really sad, a little sad, then happy.

What got me was the raw and honest love between Yves and Pierre, that two people could love eachother so much through the life they both led, and stuck it out through thick and thin, all the way to Yves death on the 1st of June 2008.

The documentary takes you on a journey through the highs and lows (but mainly highs) of the fashion empire which Yves created with Pierre, showcasing some of the most fabulous designs, not to mention the homes, artworks and sculptures the couple bought throughout their successful careers – all the way back to when Yves was Christian Dior’s assistant.

It’s the instrumental that begins the film, and sets the mood. This carries on throughout the film, adding to the desperation behind the kind, yet shy eyes of YSL. In interviews throughout the film, you see he finds it hard to make eye contact with people, and with the camera. He is almost permanently nervous.

It begins at the funeral of YSL in June 2008, and ends with the Christie’s auction which saw most of the couples art, furniture and sculptures sold for ten of millions of dollars each, including works from Mondrian, Matisse and Picasso. It was the most valuable private collection in history, raising $477 million dollars which partially went to the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation, which provides scientific research in fighting AIDS.

This is a MUST SEE film for any fashion lover, which is told from the heart and through the mouth of Pierre Bergé himself. A true French film, with passion and raw emotion which is captured in a way, that only French films can.

I left that cinema thinking about the film. That night I thought about it. The next day, thinking about it… and the day after that.

Where Would I Rather Be? Lapping Up The Luxury At Laucala Island

March 25th, 2011

Where would I rather be? I’d rather be sipping away on a cocktail at possibly one of the most breathtaking islands I have ever seen, staying at quite possibly the most amazing properties I have ever seen! This is the unbelievable Laucala Island.

But with the Easter long weekend stretching over five days this year, why not treat yourself, and the family to an escape at the ultra private Laucala Island in the South Pacific. This luxurious property boasts an impressive range of amenities, which together deliver a decadent holiday experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Laucala offers 25 well-appointed residences in specially selected locations around the island. Couples will appreciate the space and privacy of the one bedroom residence, Laucala also offers two and three bedroom configurations for families. The luxurious residences offer flat screen TVs, Bose home entertainment systems, iPods and docking stations, yoga decks, golf buggies and private swimming pools. If you really can’t leave your poochie home alone, you can bring them along as the island is biosecure.

An exciting range of leisure activities are available on the island, leaving you with the option of doing as much or as little as you wish. Activities include rainforest hikes, mountain biking, cooking classes, farm and island tours, horseback riding and kayaking. Passionate golfers can also enjoy an undisturbed round of golf over the private course while the Laucala Spa offers a tempting menu of spa journeys for those seeking soothing pampering. For the young ones, Laucala’s Kids Club offers wood carving, board games and water sports. I say dump the kids and RELAX.

Are you a diver? If so, divers are invited to explore the pristine underwater world surrounding the island with private dive sessions and guided snorkeling trips. The clear waters are also ideal for coastal fishing and anglers. The resort has an amazing collection of sailing vessels, including a Riviera Open Flybridge, a Dragon Class sailing boat and a Classic Pilothouse Ketch for you to take advantage of.

If that isn’t enough for you, Laucala is home to five spectacular restaurants and bars, each showcasing the island’s locally grown produce which is organic and toxin free. The signature Plantation House Restaurant led by Michelin star executive chef Michele Mingozzi offers an unforgettable dining experience that rivals the world’s top restaurants. You can also choose to dine at the alfresco Seagrass Restaurant which overlooks the island or chill out with a cocktail in the Rock Lounge. I love the sound of that!

This is the epitome of pure luxury, seclusion and relaxation… In one word, it’s perfection. Check out the video below for proof – pick your jaw up off the floor afterwards – you’ll be blown away!
