I agree with Samson Foods. Food Is Life.
One of my favourite quotes which I made up (well I think I did?), “Life without enjoying food isn’t a life enjoyed”. I am a true believer of this. We all need to indulge and enjoy finer things every now and then.
Who doesn’t love chips, nuts and all the morish foods available on the shelves? I know I do.
One of my favourite snacks are Soya Twists by Samson Foods. These beautifully packaged soya twists (they look like something that would be in an exclusive boutique hotel) come in five unique flavours, with very distinct herbs and spices through them. I have copied the descriptions of the flavours from the Samson Foods website. I wouldn’t copy and paste it if I didn’t believe it was true. I have tasted every one of these and the descriptions are spot on!
Alpine Spice – Enriched with a subtle hint of mint along with the lemon and aniseed myrtle for a bite to excite.
Bush Roast – Infused with lemon myrtle, rosemary and garlic to enhance the savoury roast taste.
Desert BBQ – Enhanced with Australian spices and an aroma of juniper twist.
Mountain Pepper – A burst of a peppery zing for a spicy sensation.
Rainforest Herbs – An infusion of zesty citrus seasoning which is enhanced with chilli notes and sesame seeds.
What makes it even more appetising to me is that the company and ingredients are 100% Australian made and owned, which is something that is quite important to me, obviously depending on what it is we are talking about.
I enjoyed stuffing my face with these soya twists and sharing them around with my friends. They are fresh, rich, they look great and the taste is just explosive – they are exceptional! I’m a little obsessed with them to be honest. Thankfully there are no added colours, artificial flavours and no preservatives. They are also cholesterol free which is great for my defective heart.
