ADRIAN CAN’T COOK with Simone Erdedi – Episode 4

December 4th, 2013

My sister Simone is an inspirational and fun-loving girl.
I adore everything about her and I’m so thrilled that she is one of the great guests on ADRIAN CAN’T COOK.

Simone is a 26 year old girl with Down Syndrome. She jokes, laughs, cries and gets sad – just like any of us. She has shows she loves, singers she adores and loves celebrities.

She is just a down-to-earth person with a huge heart of gold.

Though very quiet and shy, Simone still shows off her talents in the kitchen and teaches me a yummy sweet recipe she learnt at her Disabilities Centre.

I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did filming it. I hope she inspires you as much as she does me.

The 32nd Australian Wool Fashion Awards Wrap Video – Armidale

April 1st, 2013

The 32nd Australian Wool Fashion Awards – Armidale

March 26th, 2013

20130326-160045.jpg

I had the absolute honor of being selected as a fashion judge for 32nd Australian Wool Fashion Awards in Armidale, NSW.

A role which needed to be taken seriously, I was one of five talented professionals, Bonnie Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), Peter Everett (TV Presenter), Faye De Lanty (Fashion Writer) and Jo Nathan (Designer at Woolli Woolli) who had to critique 90 garments from many categories submitted by designers all over Australia and New Zealand.

20130326-160059.jpg

With many categories including evening wear, race wear, bridal, recycled wool and the very fun Alice In Wonderland theme, things were very competitive and the designers had to make sure there was a minimum of 60% Merino wool used in their designs.

Choosing the ‘best of’ in each category was quite a task, it’s so hard to not make every designer a winner when the build and design quality was so great.

20130326-160111.jpg

We all had so much fun and worked so collaboratively to make sure the best of each category was selected because this is the future of our young (and some old!) designers who deserve every opportunity to win scholarships or grants at the countries leading fashion colleges.

The Australia Wool Fashion Awards strives to find and award the best designers. It also creates an incredible platform for these designers to enter and submit their work.

20130326-160126.jpg

On the big night of nights, the finalists we had selected were sent down the runway in the gardens of the Historic Saumarez Homestead in Armidale where a colourful array of outfits were paraded. The very professional, funny and gorgeous Deborah Hutton hosted the night, keeping everyone entertained.

Laura Davis from All Saints Anglican School Merrimac on Queensland’s Gold Coast took out first prize in the School section before taking out the three-year, half-fee degree Scholarship to study at North Sydney’s Raffles College of Design.

20130326-160141.jpg

Laurel Judd from Napier, New Zealand won both the Racewear and Knitwear sections as well as the Supreme Award, winning a gold and diamond pendant and earrings worth $10,000 donated by Margot Edwina Rees Antiques, Tenterfield.

Workwear winner was QUT student Shea Cameron of Biggera Waters, Queensland while Larissa Murdock from Werribee in Victoria took out the recycled wool category with an outfit made from knitted jumpers sourced from Op Shops. Long time entrant Judy Bond from Buronga, NSW crocheted her way to two second prizes and a first in wearable art.

20130326-160221.jpg

Jane Frazer from Deniliquin won the evening wear category with a stunning cream and gunmetal pleated gown made from Wool Charné fabric. Libby Spring and Celia Fraser from Fullarton South Australia won the bridal wear with a gown trimmed with Nanna’s lace curtains.

Whitehouse Institute of Design Drawing Scholarships went to Jessica McClatchy from PLC Pymble, NSW and Bianca Scott and Sarah Scott from All Saints Anglican School, Queensland.

Academy of Design Scholarships went to Armidale students Nichola Eliott from New England Girls’ School, Miriam Lott and Edith Rose from Armidale High School.

Underbelly Star Natasha Leigh Stars In New UK TV Show!

November 29th, 2012

Australian beauty Natasha Leigh is about to star in one of the UK’s most popular TV shows as a new Doctor. Natasha has been in the UK just a few months, yet she is already turning heads and making her mark.  When attending the UK’s Inside Soap Awards Natasha was named ‘best dressed’ by both Boohoo and Reveal Magazine!  She also caught up with fellow actors at the awards, Chris Milligan & Tom Oliver, she also shared the screen with Chris Milligan in Overture.

In Holby City Natasha plays a feisty Doctor Lilah Birdwood, who left Australia to escape the disapproving eyes of her former colleagues in Australia. When Lilah’s affair with a married consultant was exposed, they turned their backs on her and threatened to end her career.  Dr Birdwood is at the hospital as a CTI Doctor and is desperate to make the cut as a surgeon. She is determined not to let anyone get in her way; but how far will she go?

This is the first UK Television role for actress Natasha Leigh who plays the confident young Doctor, having had success in prime time Australian shows such as the hugely popular ‘Neighbours’, ‘Underbelly: Golden Mile’, ‘Bogan Pride’, ‘City Homicide’ and ‘Cops’ (as Natasha Cunningham). On Lilah, Natasha says “she is at Holby City Hospital to prove herself. She’s a great character to play.”

1. What an incredible role to land! Congratulations on the lead role in Holby City! How did this role come about?

Thank you!  It was so surreal how it all happened. I was in LA & I taped my audition in my friends kitchen. Came back to Australia & put down a couple more scenes with my parents acting opposite me! Then did an interview with the producers on Skype! An hour later I got the role and two weeks later I was here in the UK!

2. When you found out you got the role, what was your first reaction and how did you celebrate?

I started crying when i heard! (this industry is a rollercoaster & I feel very blessed when I get a chance to work)  In terms of celebrating – my girlfriends and I shared a nice bottle of Billecart-Salmon Rose Champagne! My absolute favourite!!

3. You’ve had some pretty great roles on Australian TV. Have you found many differences in working with Australian and UK based production companies?

The more I travel, the more I realise that although Australia is amazing; it is just an island on the ‘other side of the world’. We are very disconnected to what is happening everywhere else, so actors Must travel to really have a shot of going big! I also believe most Australians are down to earth, fun, friendly people; so we are easy to work with.

4. You have a solid fan base in Australia, and in the UK through Australian shows. What do you think makes yourself and so many actors like you so popular in countries like the UK and USA?

I think every actor has to have some qualities similar to your character. Johnny Depp has a great quote  – “with any part you play, there is a certain amount of yourself in it. There has to be, otherwise it’s just not acting. It’s lying” . I am like Lilah as in I am very passionate & sometimes intense, but for the most part, we are both just fun loving Aussie women.

5. You’ve played a few different types of roles, what has been your favourite and what types of roles do you get really passionate about?

I have played some very interesting roles! I don’t really have a favourite because they are all so different, but they are always Intense, Raw, Vulnerable and Honest. I love roles you can get your teeth into & test yourself as an artist.

6. What was it like working with Lou Carpenter on Neighbours? Come on… Tell us the truth!

He is lovely really!  I actually live down the road from him, so we are constantly bumping into each other at the corner store!

7. Which foods and drinks most excite your taste buds?

Food wise, anything with basil & salt, I Love.  I make my own pesto & use it with pasta dishes, pizza, tapas with cheese..   drinks, I love champagne & a nice subtle pinot noir.

8. What is your favourite thing to cook – if you cook?

I do cook, a lot! I really enjoy being in the kitchen, my whole family does. The most enjoyable time is Christmas when four generations of women make our secret recipe version of the Traditional Christmas Pudding

9. What is your favourite piece of clothing or accessory?

Besides my Jimmy Choos, which are amazing to wear.. I’d say a few good scarves are essential to any wardrobe. They add texture & colour to any outfit, worn around your neck, belted, caped… & can be used to protect against the sun & wind!  Perfect accessory!

10. Which celebrity wardrobe would you love to have and why?

Marion Cotilard always seems to nail her outfits! Simple, chic, sexy with edge…there is something slightly off centre which is absolutely my style !!

11. Is there a feature in your home you love most?

I love to have water around me (I’m a Pisces/Gemini), so being in harmony with my environment is very important to me. I have a glass fountain near the back window which I love to sit by and read. Perfect place to zone out.

12. Where did you grow up and what did you love about growing up there?

I grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It was lovely to be in between the bush & ocean. It definitely keeps you in touch with nature, though at times I used to crave the city life.

13. Favourite place to relax in Australia or the world?

In Australia is would be the mountains near Byron Bay, it’s such a vortex there, you go to another world with its lusciousness.  I’m yet to visit New York, which I think will one day be my home.

14. What is your great extravagance?

My Career!  I have sacrificed a lot & invested everything into my career. It’s just what you do when you find something you love & are passionate about, but it can at times be very demanding.

15. This one thing you can’t leave home without is…

Sunglasses! I always wear them. Because my eye colour are so light & almost yellow… they are very sensitive to light. They also complete any outfit & adds a bit of flair!

Music Review: Missy Higgins – The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle

June 27th, 2012

I don’t know where to start with this review because once the last song was over, I was speechless.

Five years since the last album release, Missy Higgins is back with a smooth and melodious compilation of tunes with the highly anticipated album, The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle.

I expected big things from her, and that she most certainly delivered. Twelve tracks (plus one bonus track) which take you for a ride on Missy’s rollercoaster, will keep you captivated, humming, singing, tapping, clicking and hanging on every last breath the whole way through.

Every track is layered with unique instruments and rare sounds making this a sensory overload. But I do have one recommendation. Listen to this album through awesome speakers so you can really enjoy the full experience, Missy’s voice is so incredibly pure it makes your heart melt. My first listen of the album was on a drive through Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, which the quality and clarity of Bang & Olufsen speakers made all the difference.

I couldn’t have picked a better time or place to listen to this album. Driving through the Australian outback, with a true Australian music icon was an incredible feeling – it really gave me time to listen and listen well, appreciate the voice, the talent and the sight of our own incredible backyard.

I’m not going to go through each track like I normally do, because I could be here all day writing about each one and how amazing it is. But I will make special mentions, which again is most of them; Set Me On Fire, Hello Hello, Unashamed Desire, All In My Head, Temporary Love, Tricks, Cooling Of The Embers and Sweet Arms Of A Tune.

Every track written by Missy, Dan Wilson and Kevin Griffin is immaculately produced by Brad Jones and Butterfly Boucher. This is one production that definitely invades your mind, inspiring you for the better.

It doesn’t just stop at the music – I also love the album cover and artwork, all done by artist Kate Tucker.

I’m just so overwhelmed and in love with The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle – it’s really one sensational addition to my life, which since first play, has been played over and over again.

PS – She is also absolutely stunning, I’ve never seen her look so beautiful!

An Intimate Night With Dame Edna for Jenny Craig

April 28th, 2012

I had the pleasure of spending a very intimate night with entertainment royalty – Dame Edna.

It was in the basement at the Civic Hotel in Sydney where I got to see the very endearing Dame Edna on stage speaking about Jenny Craig and how she, along with her Manager, Barry Humphries will strive to achieve their weight loss goal of 15kgs each.

In hysterics for much of the night, I can’t think of a time I have felt more privileged to have been graced by one of Australia’s greatest living treasures in this very private and rare opportunity. A good 45 minute session with Dame Edna was exactly what everyone in the room needed. Allowing questions from Trevor Ashley, Peter Everett, Mike Goldman and Glen-Marie Frost, Dame Edna answered with quick witted and supremely detailed answers, all with the poise and elegance of a legend.

It wasn’t just Dame Edna who kept the photographers on their toes, the moment the scary Spice Girl Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte arrived, the sound of flashes and murmurs “Mel, Mel, look here, Mel”, “Oh my God, Mel B is here”, “Wow, it’s Mel B, she looks incredible” filled the room. And it was true. She looked incredible. With a body to salivate over, Mel B lost 15 kgs in 20 weeks after being ambassador for Jenny Craig.

I’ve met many international and local celebrities and I must say, I was a little star struck seeing Mel, but then I actually got to meet her and spend much of the evening with her and her hilariously extroverted husband. Mel B was so much fun, coming out with the funniest one liners, but also being an absolute sweetheart.

Other guests included my long time friend Peter Everett, Channel 10′s Breakfast presenters Andrew Rochford and Kathryn Robinson, Dr Nikki Goldstein, Trevor Ashley, Mike Goldman, Chucky Klapow and the gorgeous Glen-Marie Frost. Below are some photos of the silliness Dr Nikki and Peter Everett got up to with the crazy couple.

What an amazing night – but if you want the X-Rated uncensored version of the night… Contact me privately! :-)

MIssy Higgins Releases Album Artwork For The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle

April 18th, 2012

I’m super excited about Missy Higgins making a come-back with her new album set to launch June 1, called The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle.

Just yesterday, she showed off the gorgeous artwork for the cover of her album. The artwork is by Melbourne artist, Kate Tucker, who earlier this month was selected as a finalist in one of Australia’s most prestigious art prizes, The Archibald Prize, also with a painting of Missy.

“Kate is an extraordinary artist, I’m a huge fan of her work and when we met through a mutual friend we clicked straight away,” Missy says.  ”With the album art she’s managed to capture the essence of this album so completely and wonderfully. To me it portrays not only the darker, creative and more introspective side of me but also the ‘performance’ persona, (or the ‘razzle dazzle’) and how these two worlds merge.”

Check out the video below which is the second installment of making ‘The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle’ video below. Enjoy!

Missy’s first single Unashamed Desire is due for release April 23! Stay tuned.

We all wonder what it’s like to be a celebrity, being followed, photographed, asked for autographs and getting freebies… Some of us wish for this kind of fame! But for those of you, who don’t think they will ever experience this feeling, you can now create it for yourself!

It’s called Paparazzi – Celeb 4 A Day, a Sydney based company that makes all your celebrity and attention seeking dreams come true.

Now active in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, I had the chance to use the Celeb 4 A Day experience and find out what it was really like to be followed and photographed by the paparazzi.

I have taken my iPhone with me and inconspicuously filmed the whole experience from my side of the camera. Check out how crazy it is, and how the paparazzi won’t let you get away, asking questions and doing what they can to get the perfect shot of you!

MORE ABOUT THE DESIGNERS

Fernando Frisoni

Fernando Frisoni AW12/13 is based around ideas of strength, versatility and competitive instinct. The collection, titled Stadium, draws reference from the functionality and form seen in the sports arena.

Designs brought to life by a rich wool textures, effortlessly and a sexy and considerate take on the luxury sport aesthetic resulting in garments which are both chic and highly wearable.  The collection stays true to the Fernando Frisoni philosophy which encapsulates casual sophistication whilst celebrating minimalism and uncomplicated silhouettes.

Magdalena Velevska

Magdalena Velevska’s AW12/13 collection has been designed and driven through the use of innovative textiles, and applying these in contemporary yet wearable ways.

Sequin wool felting is a feature of this collection. A felting technique is used to connect a fine Merino wool jersey with silk georgette which swiftly provides a unique sequin shine. The fabric is than further embellished to add spark and take the development out of an androgynous feel into a luxurious territory.

Five pieces of extraordinary knitwear made from 100% merino wool yet look like intricate lace are a feature of Velevska’s AW12/13 collection.

The knitwear is three dimensional in texture and uses a blend of two different yarns to achieve the unique effect – one flat and smooth, the other more textured and bulky.

Michael Lo Sordo

Michael Lo Sordo’s AW12/13 collection, ‘Gold Rush,’ is comprised of a sophisticated colour palette - black, midnight blue, olive, cognac and of course gold.

The finest of merino wool’s is set alongside boiled wool and felts, waxed silks and viscose, soft nappa leather – all creating dynamic changes in appearance and feel.

Lo Sordo has also developed by hand a state-of-the-art foiling technique – using wool’s inherent property to absorb heat, gold is manipulated into the wool fabric with heat, creating an imperfect but yet perfect design finish. Rare manual finishing techniques and creative uses of multiple textiles is a signature of Lo Sordo’s that shows the utmost innovation, and understanding of modern style.

Christopher Esber

AW12/13 for Christopher Esber is all about examining the essence of couture shapes, about looking at the points on the body where volume sits then contouring other areas to give a sense of dynamic, sports inspired, panelling and a rapid sense of urgency.

AW12/13 see’s Esber play with a woven wool and mohair fabric that brings texture and drama into the pieces and also features bonding of wool felts onto leathers for reversible classic pieces from outerwear to the staple dress.

Kym Ellery

Ellery AW12/13 is filled with a multitude if aesthetic wonders.

As the seasons have ticked by, so have the challenges that Ellery has adopted to give the range a touch of something thoughtful and intriguing. Time after time Ellery has mastered many different techniques which cross the boundaries of conventional garment design.

AW12/13 brings a new masterpiece to the fore with an exciting relationship forged between fine Australian Merino wool and lurex to create knits which enchant and devour the body. This intricate knitted fabric is then put through a fusing process to bond it to the inside of leather so that the garments are fabric lined and feel luxurious next to the skin.

10 CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS – 2. VitaMan Skincare

December 15th, 2011

My second TOP 10 CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA for 2011 is a special one for the men or man in your life. VitaMan Skincare.

With a range that has won countless awards around the world, VitaMan products are really the only option for taking care of our largest, and very important organ – our skin.

I’ve been using VitaMan products for a good 8 or 9 years now, and really can’t recommend any other brand that suits my skin so perfectly, in every way possible. From shaving, to post shaving care, all the way through to moisturing and hair care, VitaMan products are what have kept my face and body looking and feeling so amazing for so long. Now I know this sounds like an advertisement, but it most certainly is not and the honest truth is that I haven’t yet found a complete skin care range by a brand as great as VitaMan.

All the products are 100% natural, using only high quality ingredients, all Australian made and VitaMan was the first Australian Company to source and introduce new unknown and unique Native Plant/Herb and Fruit extracts into Skin & Hair products. These had previously only been used within the food industry as herbs and spices. The chosen extracts all had a history of use by Australia’s Indigenous people dating as far back as 30,000 years.

VitaMan also have a 100% money back guarantee, they are so confident their products are the best, that they will give you a full refund with the return of your unused portion – no questions asked! But I’ve never had to do this because they are the best!

Now you could be thinking, “I’ve never heard of VitaMan”, but infact, VitaMan is a highly respected brand, used by many A-list celebrities, high end hotels and the world’s top spas. It is even stocked in most high-end luxury department stores in 30 countries including Galeries Lafayette in Paris. VitaMan is constantly wining awards too, this year winning 2 major Spa Awards in Hong Kong in the Asia Spa Magazine‘s Annual Spa Awards. They also won “Best Men’s Spa Treatment” and “Best Men’s Skincare Line”  beating the world top 10 men’s brands.

As a little Christmas gift, I have approached VitaMan and they are offering a 20% discount off all VitaMan products. All you need to do is order by calling 02 9725-6994, and mention ‘ADRIAN’ for the discount, along with your order. Be quick – this offer is available from 15th-23rd of December 2011.

Noble Wine Of The Week – Xabregas Wines 2009 Mount Barker Shiraz

November 21st, 2011

Reviewed by Stewart Noble from WineWithoutBS.com.au for AdrianErdedi.com

Keen to show that Mount Barker is capable of producing very high quality cool climate shiraz that would rival the likes of the highly prized and scored examples coming out of areas like Canberra Districts, I was contacted by the Xabregas (pronounced ZAR-BREE-GAS) Vigneron, Paul Hogan, to check  out their new release. This is the second vintage of the Xabregas Mount Barker Shiraz I have tried, yet this time around Xabregas have a new winemaker, Martin Cooper, who said he had a new found appreciation of wine bloggers after comments I made on the winery’s 2007 vintage back in 2010.

The 2009 release is a very deep, rich purple colour that is almost the ‘classic’ colour for young, cool climate shiraz. The aroma was one I had trouble pinning down. The label suggests half the kitchen sink will be in there somewhere but, with a bit of time and more persistence on the nose than I suggest many will bother with, I can report that I picked up on the sweet plum fruit and at times could smell faint white pepper.

It is a lovely, balanced wine to drink with elements of fruit, spice, pepper and oak on the palate with no single element over powering the others. It is a totally different wine in all the ways I’d hoped over the 2007 and goes to show that you can never judge a winery on just one wine.

Xabregas Wines 2009 Mount Barker Shiraz
Price - $23 from www.xabregas.com.au
RegionMount Barker, WA
Final SipA great wine and from what I hear, just the beginning, as I believe the Xabregas line up will soon include 4 Shiraz wines at different price points. I certainly look forward to trying them all but i’m more than happy with this drop for its price!

Noble Wine Of The Week – Kelly Fleming Wines 2009 Sauvignon Blanc

July 25th, 2011

Reviewed by Stewart Noble from WineWithoutBS.com.au for AdrianErdedi.com

While Kelly Fleming wines have been available since 2005, the two current releases, the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc and 2007 Cabernet are the first ‘Estate’ grown and made wines. The new estate winery is located in Oakville and opened in June 2010. It was such a treat to be given the full tour of this immaculate facility by Kelly Fleming and her daughter, Colleen.

The wine tunnel, or cave, which took over two years of blasting into the hillside of her property, is simply amazing and at the end of one tunnel there is a very well thought out museum (library) section where 16 cases of each vintage can be perfectly stored for ageing and enjoyment in the future. Kelly is clearly very proud of her brand new winery and she has every reason to be as it incredibly tasteful, well planned and very inviting.

For those not familiar with the difference between an estate wine and a non-estate wine, basically estate wine is made with grapes from vines owned, or at least fully controlled by, the winery and is made on site, or at the ‘Estate’. For those interested in some of the finer points on the definition of estate wines I have included a great site below which explains it in more detail.

Click here to read more about Estate Wines

The Kelly Fleming 2009 Estate Sauvignon Blanc has a few unique traits that made it stand out to me given the style I am used to having in Australia, whether it be from Australia or New Zealand. Firstly, it contains 2% Viognier, secondly it is blended from 50% French Oak treated and 50% stainless steel wine. It is also 14.5% alcohol which is pretty high for what would normally be a light, crisp, white wine.

It is light in colour and at times can appear almost clear but does have a pale straw/hay-like hue. I found the aroma to be fairly light, not at all like the the pungent Marlborough wines many would be more familiar with. There are hints of vanilla as a result of the French Oak and some noticeable fruity aromas like pear and some stone fruits.

Light fruit flavours on the palate included peach and pineapple in the after taste. The use of 50% oak is also noticeable in the flavour yet the wine is well balanced and enjoyable to drink.

Kelly Fleming Wines 2009 Sauvignon Blanc
Price$30 USD plus taxes from www.kellyflemingwines.com (Currently not available in Australia)
Region - Oakville, Napa Valley, California
Final Sip - I recommend anyone travelling to Napa Valley check out this beautiful new winery and try both the 09 Sauvignon Blanc and 07 Cabernet. If you needed any more evidence of the quality of the wines then it would be worth noting the restaurants that can boast having Fleming Wines on their list include The Beverly Hills Hotel, Michael Mina and The French Laundry!

Bondi Designer’s Striking Debut At Social Royalty In Paddington – 2Shae

July 12th, 2011

It is any emerging designer’s dream to have their label discovered by an exclusive boutique and to be chosen for the runway in an elite fashion event.

For Shae Fleming, owner of the brand 2Shae, both happened within a week.

Photo by Eden Connell – Zoom in With Eden

The hard work involved in starting her own label were well worth the effort after being invited to be part of Melbourne Fashion Week as an interstate guest label days after her first collection debuted in the upmarket Paddington boutique, Social Royalty.

Shoppers on Oxford St, including myself, were treated to a surprise on Saturday 25th June, as a team of beautiful models strutted the street towards the boutique wearing 2Shae’s Australian-designed, sourced and manufactured styles. We all know how much I love Australian products!

More than 200 people attended the in-store launch and reveled in the delightful Torbreck wines, which gave that luxurious ‘champagne shopping’ experience, with a fashion parade.

Photos by Ben Scott – Photograph Live

The 2Shae crew included 11 models, a professional hair and makeup team of 5, a video crew, 4 photographers, as well as 3 drivers. “It was a huge team effort,” said Shae. “I wanted to make a scene and make a scene we did.”

Shoppers were forced front row as models strutted the Gould Street shopping strip in Bondi Beach in a guerrilla style parade before jumping into hot cars to take on Paddington’s Oxford Street.

After seeing first hand the success of the event, it came as no surprise to Dana Randall, manager of Social Royalty, who said:

“The designers we choose to stock are the most promising new talents around the world, and we even have labels that have graced New York and Paris Fashion Week, exclusive to Social Royalty in Australia. 2Shae is already proving a ‘must-have’ for our style savvy customers!”

Where do women go to stand out, be different and feel fabulous? Social Royalty Paddington

July 11th, 2011

Paddington went through tough times when Westfield Bondi Junction opened. Stores closed down and Paddington became a ghost town for retailers. But changes in the past few years has seen the fashion mecca of Sydney bounce back and flourish. This is thanks to fresh new blood pumping through the veins of Paddington – Social Royalty.

What makes Social Royalty so unique to Oxford Street are the brands which are exclusive to Social Royalty in Australia and amounts per style are limited. Women who shop there can be one of the very few to own a unique item.

Walking into the store, you’re greeted by the very sweet Dana, who knows the products inside out. The store feels glamourous, but with a warm feeling. The outfits are spaced out around the walls of the store, looking more like an exhibition – they are presented beautifully because they are beautiful.

Mid range to high end, including designers showing at New York and Paris Fashion Week. There are even the most gorgeous bikinis I have ever seen, definately stop here for this summers beach purchase!

The next big names in fashion and accessories can be found here, and you can be one of the first to have it! Watch out for: TRIAS, Carmelita Couture, Agua Bendita, Henry Hall Jeans and more, which are all instore for you to try on and take home!

Recently, Social Royalty was pleased to welcome home grown brand, 2Shae – a new brand by Bondi designer Shae Fleming.

All of the designers are hand-picked from around the world for their originality and talent for design.

Aussie women are cluey about fashion and in the age of The Sartorialist, most women want their own style rather than trawl through one chain store after another looking like everyone else in mass produced pieces. Boutique shopping is what it’s all about and in Paddington you can find all the best Australian designers stores as well as other fab boutiques.

Be sure to get there and walk out of there with a new outfit to slip into and turn heads.

Woolmark Treasure Hunt at Westfield Sydney Campaign Launch

July 8th, 2011

On Thursday afternoon, I was thrilled to be one of a select group of Sydney’s fashion bloggers, gathering at Westfield Sydney to celebrate the launch of the Find Fashion By Feelings Campaign. Myself and other fellow bloggers scoured across the shopping centre following clues Tweeted out from www.twitter.com/welovewool #woolmarktreasurehunt and gathered treasures along the way.

I get invited to many events… but boy this one was the best by far!  Running around Westfield Sydney with my partner in crime Sydney Fashion Blogger, Antoinette Marie, following clues posted on Twitter, to find hidden balls of wool in the centre was incredible, fast paced and fabulously exhausting fun! But well worth every second of it.

It’s creative events like this that make campaigns successful.  They fused the raw fibre and social media together seamlessly!

In this instance, treasures didn’t take on the form of pots of gold or buried diamonds, instead we all pieced together clues to find little knitted balls, some embellished with beads and cute little pom poms!

The Woolmark Blogger Treasure Hunt marked the launch of the Find Fashion By Feelings campaign which has been created to engage fashion lovers from around the world on an emotional level, the ‘Find Fashion By Feelings’ Campaign asks the fashion savvy to post, tag and promote their style and share their love of wool.

From the UK, USA, Europe, Australia & New Zealand, ‘Find Fashion By Feelings’ is an interactive campaign which asks fashionistas to show how their look makes them feel.

What a fantastic day I had – and I have to say now as I type this, I’m completely buggered! Who would have thought running up and down the marble floors of Westfield Sydney could be so tiring?! I’d hate to think what it was like for Sydney Fashion Blogger who was in high-heels!!

Check out the campaign on www.fashionbyfeelings.com and read all about the competition in the post below.

Urban Boulder – The Latest In Creative Jewelry Design

June 24th, 2011

I’d like to introduce you to an amazing new foray in the jewelry landscape. Sourced from Australia and based out of New York.

Urban Boulder create contemporary jewelry inspired by the urban environment and crafted with natural precious elements. They draw upon every day, but often overlooked, details from the environment around us and reinterpret the shapes with boulder opal and silver into beautiful pieces of jewelry.

Classified in the same category as diamonds, boulder opal – which makes up only a tiny fraction of the opal mined – contains every color of the rainbow. No two stones are ever the same, so all of the pieces are one of a kind and absolutely glorious.

Lisa Simpson and Remo Carbone, Urban Boulder designers are based in New York City, where they live, and where their urban landscape inspires them in all of their designs. They buy our opal directly from independent miners in outback Queensland (Australia), which makes the jewelry a precious product of an exciting journey.

Below is a behind the scenes creation video, which captures the essence of this clever and beautiful brand.

Chiva-Som Thailand – Haven Of Life

June 13th, 2011

Recently I had a taste of Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort on our very own soil at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne. My experience was nothing short of heaven on earth.

But what exactly is Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort all about?

You could quite easily describe Chiva-Som in Thailand is a place to go if you want to experience peace, tranquility, luxury, comfort, and complete titillation of every single one of your senses. Not to mention it’s key benefit – redefining, rediscovering, healing and cleansing the body, mind and soul.

Chiva-Som is quite possibly one of the only places on earth that have mastered the art of taking the human body on a journey of relaxtion, rest, stimulation, health, detox and wellness. It’s quite simply a health resort, but there is nothing simple about it – there is a reason why is it the best in the world. The proof it is the best in earth? Well Chiva-Som is the only spa to consistently appear in the top 3 of the Conde Nast Traveller (UK) Reader’s Travel Awards. Now if that doesn’t say best on earth – not sure what does!

Chiva-Som has just celebrated 15 successful years and is located in the Royal city of Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand, 185 kilometres south of Bangkok. Nestled within seven acres of luscious tropical gardens, the beachfront health resort captures all of those airborne positive ions to begin the rejuvenating process.

There are 58 rooms within the grounds, from charming studios, through to the large and spacious fully contained Thai Pavilions which has everything from a ocean view jacuzzi to a private butler.

With over 200 treatments available, in addition to the 70 treatment rooms, the resort facilities comprise a kinesis studio, gym, watsu pool, flotation pool, large outdoor swimming pool, bathing pavilion with kneipp bath, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and indoor swimming pool.

So what treatments are available? Well think of it and Chiva-Som most likely has it. Natural healing, physiotherapy, stress release therapy, kinesis, Thai boxing, Abhyanga, Tai Chi, Chi Nei Tsang, meditation, detoxification, weight management, inner peace, physical renewal, oriental therapies plus so much more which would take forever to list!

Now health and wellness isn’t just about what I’ve listed above. It’s not just about yoga or massages, but it’s about food. What goes into your body shows through the skin.

Indulging yourself in our award-winning Spa cuisine is easy. But indulging in organically-grown fruits and vegetables from the Chiva-Som garden is even easier, proving that low calorie, nutritious food can truly be a gourmet experience. Enjoy the elegance of fine dining in the Emerald Room or relax outdoors and the Taste of Siam restaurant by the sea.

Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat joined Chiva-Som in 2003 fusing his background of Thai and European cuisine with a philosophy of health and nutrition. His popular signature dishes draw people to Chiva-Som from all over the world, and I feel very privileged that I had the chance to taste these dishes for myself, prepared by the master himself right here in Australia.

No matter what it is you are wanting to achieve or gain, there are many different packages available to suit your needs – or create your own. It’s no wonder Chiva-Som is a “Haven of Life”.

Chiva-Som At ISIKA – Crown Metropol Experience. Bliss.

May 16th, 2011

I recently had one of the most luxurious experiences, where I was pampered and traveled down a path of culinary perfection.

It was a taste of Chiva-Som Luxury Health Resort at ISIKA Day Spa at the Crown Metropol, Melbourne. Chiva-Som joined ISIKA only for a limited time, so that a piece of the resort could be experienced here in Australia.

Chiva-Som Resort brought their skills and their therapists from Thailand to Melbourne to treat and spoil visitors of the ISIKA Day Spa, with a collection of treatments – from heavenly massages to more intense physiotherapy. Although it’s not their entire range of treatments, it gave an insight into the skill these masters have.

But not only did they bring their therapists to indulge the guests, they brought the Chiva-Som Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat – who created a mind blowing meal, not only unique and carefully designed, but extremely healthy by eliminating sugar, salt and oil.

So I think I should go back and tell you about my experience, right from the beginning.

I arrived at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne and greeted by the lovely concierge, directing me to the reception. “Mr. Erdedi, welcome to Crown Metropol, you are staying in the Health Retreat suite on level 26…”. It sounded very impressive. I gathered my luggage and made my way to the lift to go to the private section on level 26, which is not accessible to people staying in the normal rooms at the Metropol. Already, I was feeling a sense of exclusivity, but also seclusion.

I opened the door to my room and infront of me was a delicate room, with beautiful fixtures, neutrally toned calming colour scheme and floor to ceiling glass, with views over Melbourne CBD. I was in heaven. But in actual fact – heaven had not even begun.

I had time to drop my luggage, have a cup of herbal tea and get ready to go upstairs to level 27 for my treatments at ISIKA, by the Chiva-Som therapists.

Waiting in the retreat lounge, with a cup of aromatic herbal tea, it slowed down the heart rate, calmed my nerves and helped me tune out a little, so I could take in every little bit of my first treatment – a Deep Tissue Massage. My very kind Chiva-Som therapist guided me through to the treatment room, which smelt pleasant, lighting was dim and sounds of the forest in the background. I had stepped into my boudoir for the next couple of hours.

I got comfortable in privacy and comfort, and got ready to relax and be taken on a journey of experience, tradition and health rejuvenation. Using oils, my deep tissue massage began. And this is when I slowly drifted away… After some time, I woke up and turned over. It was time to do it all again, but on my front side. And again… I drifted away.

One hour later, I felt light. Refreshed. Somehow all of my tension diminished and I felt on top of the world.

The experience wasn’t over just yet.

Next up, another gracious therapist came into the room to give me my Chiva-Som Haven Body Polish. No Kenco chamois or sponges to be found. This is luxury. Chiva-Som body scrub was applied limb by limb and rubbed into my skin. Removing the impurities from my entire body. Smoothing the skin and stimulating cell growth. After a wash in my private shower, I was laying down again, having my body moisturised and nourished.

I can’t remember the last time my body felt immaculate.

After I had a nap, I went for a swim in the heated indoor infinity lap pool on level 27, a quick chill in the vitality pool and then 15 minutes in the steam room – all before I got ready for my superb Chiva-Som dinner.

Welcomed to the indulgent level 28 restaurant, ironically named ’28′, a detox cocktail was handed to me and I was taken to my seat which the place setting was gleaming.

If there’s one thing the Crown Metropol has perfected, it’s quality and service.

Chiva-Som Executive Chef, Paisarn Cheewinsiriwat prepared a meal beyond culinary heights.

Courses served up from the Chiva-Som menu included Thai specialties such as seared scallop, quinoa tabbouleh, mushroom confit and beetroot vinaigrette, black cod baked in mustard with lentil dhal, tamarind and mango chutney. For dessert, a poached pear which was absolutely beautiful and lightly sweetened – without any sugar. Every one of Paisarn’s dishes he has created for the mind, body and soul. So no salt, oils or sugar is used in any of his dishes. He uses natural and healthy ingredients to use instead.

After some exceptional wines, great conversation and a short stroll to my suite, I retired for the night.

Waking up the next morning was hard. It was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I honestly slept in the same position all night, without one single bit of back pain. I normally wake up in the morning stiff and with my joints cracking, but these beds at the Crown Metropol are simply amazing!

It was back up to the restaurant for breakfast. Now I don’t quite know how to describe it. Maybe in three words? VARIETY. INCREDIBLE. ORGANIC? Or maybe FRESH. CHOICE. UNFORGETTABLE? I can’t choose the words to describe the buffet breakfast at the Metropol, but one thing I know is that it’s by far the best one I have ever had in Australia. I’ve been to many resorts nationally, B&B’s, hotels, Day Spa’s, retreats and lodges, but none of them can compare to that of the one at the Crown Metropol. MAGNIFICENT.

So you are probably wondering what this article is about? Is it about Chiva-Som? ISIKA Day Spa? Or is it about the Crown Metropol? Well let me wrap this up for you…

Chiva-Som is no longer available here in Australia for you to try, BUT the REAL Chiva-Som is only a short flight away in Thailand, where the experience will surpass anything you could every expect and experience in your life. There is definately a reason why the likes of Elle McPherson, Dannii Minogue, Megan Gale, Kylie Minogue and Madonna visit this place annually.

ISIKA Day Spa is one of the the most luxurious day spa’s in the country, with an extensive menu to make your choice tough and therapists who know exactly what they are doing and how to look after you and your body.

Crown Metropol is clearly the leading hotel in Melbourne, with incredible choice for the palate, exceptionally well designed with the guests senses as a priority and service which cannot be matched.

These are the 3 reasons why I wrote this article – and these are the 3 reasons why I would do it all over again – no matter how much it costs.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 – Raffles

May 13th, 2011

Raffles show a great success” tweeted Glynis Traill-Nash, one of Australia’s most prominent fashion editors, from her front row seat. Raffles College of Design and Commerce made a triumphant debut on the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week runway.  Showcasing a selection of talented past students from Raffles colleges both here and abroad, Raffles came to the fore as a prominent leader in fashion education.

The Raffles RAFW International Showcase featured three Sydney Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design) graduates who were recently awarded the opportunity to showcase their work to fashion’s most respected and renowned critics from both Australia and abroad, by a panel of industry experts who included:  Dan Single (Ksubi), Nicola Finetti and Akira Isogawa.  Joining the home grown talent were two international graduates from the Raffles Shanghai and Singapore campus’.

The Raffles RAFW International Showcase featured:

• Byron McGilvray (Byron Bay, Australia);

• Peggy Hartanto (Sydney, Australia);

• Winson Tan (Sydney, Australia);

• Crystal Tsoi (Sydney, Australia);

• Erin Loh (Singapore);

• Zhigang ‘Del’ Chen (Shanghai, China).

With designs that demonstrated innovative thinking, commercial appeal and the exploration of trends, the showcase certainly impressed me, with positive feedback flowing in from all directions post show.

“Participating in RAFW will forever be a shimmering moment in my career,” explains Australian designer Peggy Hartanto of her RAFW experience. “The show went really well, even beyond my expectation.  To be involved in RAFW was really meaningful to me especially as a new, young designer. It is a big stepping stone into the industry for me.”

“Having designers from Shanghai and Singapore as part of the mix of our spring summer 2011 collection really defines the meaning of an Australia-Pacific fashion week,” explains Robert de Giovanni, Raffles Program Director, Fashion Design & Fashion Marketing.  “As the only private education provider participating in RAFW, Raffles fashion program is the only program of its kind in Australia that can really lay claim to be interacting with global markets to which our students now have direct access. Our course feeds directly into both established and emerging markets throughout the region in a way which is unique.”

A clean cut, smooth running and entertaining show… I thoroughly enjoyed myself. These guys really know how to put on a stylish show.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 – Kirrily Johnston

May 9th, 2011

YouTube Preview Image

The Kirrily Johnston SS 2011/12 show was held at one of Sydney’s most loved venues – Icebergs at Bondi Beach. The venue alone said many things – this collection is not going to be wasting our time.

Seating positioned around the every wall of Icebergs was sure to have everyone front row – and of course our gift bags waiting too!

Around 250 people squeezed into the space which was completely repainted to suit the colours from the neutral earthy toned collection, by main sponsor Dulux.

Many different textures, with inserts of various fabrics including leather and suede. In terms of colour and “Wow” factor, the show was very safe, but the delicious caramels, taupes and cinnamons delighted all.

But why don’t you be a judge and have a look for yourself. Check out the footage I took at the show.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 – Alex Perry

May 9th, 2011

Alex Perry was the first show to kick off Fashion Week for me. I had pretty high expectations, as most do when it comes to Alex Perry. Thankfully I can say, my expectations were met.

It was Cuban Princess collection that dropped many jaws, with a fresh and fabulous array of tantalising colours, textures and materials. This collection made me feel… On holidays. It’s time to turn up the music and party!

Alex Perry’s latest collection is inspired by festival fun, sultry nightlife, and the crisp upper class – a simmering melting pot know as Havana, Cuba… a fusion that is the essence of this politically charged paradise.

Let the heady Latina beats lead your feet as white hot tailoring cuts through the heat. Stay cool in cigar shirt-dresses that reflect a classic note. Precisely fitted and cinched jackets with sharp double-stitched collars reference a Spanish pedigree.

Out came the party dresses in Tamale red silk trimmed with Curacao blue that were ready to Rumba. Dangerously tight dresses in colour-blocked mojitos of Pomegranate, Blood Orange and Pepper shook up the catwalk. Cut away necklines and cheeky hems in spiced shades delivered an intoxicating medley.

Pools of Caribbean aqua refresh the palette with voluminous patio gowns made of silk georgette and necklines that glimmer like a crystal ocean… perfection for languishing on the wide veranda. Long billowing evening skirts slashed high to reveal a flash of tanned thigh, teamed with floral prints that made a sensational splash.

I was a big fan of the glossy slick of deep noir sequins, which intensified the mood to scorching and the serious glitterati come out to play.

An awesome collection… This was most certainly one that stayed up high on my list of favourite shows during fashion week.

Noble Wine Of The Week – J.Lohr Estates 2009 Wildflower Valdiguié

April 12th, 2011

Reviewed by Stewart Noble from WineWithoutBS.com.au for AdrianErdedi.com

Ever since my first trip to the USA last year, where I drank nothing but American wines the entire time, I started to wonder why so few American wines are available in Australia. This isn’t about being unpatriotic, it’s about access to whatever wine I wish. I can go to virtually any large retail outlet and easily pick up a wine from New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, Germany without having to look all that hard. However, if you want to get a wine made in the United States, and you take away the odd bottle of Oregon Pinot , you’ll have to look pretty carefully, unless you just happen to be lucky enough to live near one of the very few bottle shops that can boast some sort of USA wine selection.

I understand there are multiple reasons for this, not the least of which is the consideration from American wineries about whether Australia is a viable export market. California alone has a a population of just under 37 million, so why bother with a country on the other side of the world with just over 20 million?

Ian Lindsay, from USA Wines Direct, tells me that Australia exported over 25 million cases of Aussie wine to the US last year, yet we only imported  just over15, 000 cases of theirs! America may have a population 14 times larger than ours, but we are importing 1,666 times less wine than we are exporting. As Chris Rock would say, “That ain’t right!”

Thankfully, Ian is doing what he can to introduce American, and more specifically, Californian wines, into the Australia market and his portfolio currently boasts the biggest range of American wines in Australia. One of these wines is the J.Lohr 2009 Valdiguié, from Monterey on the Californian Coast, close to halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco and just a few hours from the far more famous region of Napa Valley.

The Valdiguié grape was commonly referred to in California as ‘Napa Gamay’ and it was believed at one time that it actually was the Gamay grape, only to discover that this was not correct. Sounds a little like the recent fiasco in Australia with our Albariño turning out to be Savagnin!

This wine has a colour of deep purple and cherry red with an enticing aroma of ripe, red berry fruits. On my first sip of this completely new variety for me I thought “Wow… this is delicious!” Juicy fruit flavours and subtle natural sweetness make for an enjoyable wine that, when served slightly chilled, makes a fantastic, easy drinking summer red wine.

J.Lohr Estates 2009 Wildflower Valdiguié
Price -
$19.95 from www.usawinesdirect.com.au
Region – Monterey, California, USA
Final Sip -
A thoroughly enjoyable wine that, at $20 makes for the perfect entry level American wine experience.

FILM REVIEW: Yves Saint Laurent: Pierre Bergé, L’Amour Fou

March 27th, 2011

One of the most glorious movies I’ve seen in quite a while. Yves Saint Laurent: Pierre Bergé, L’Amour Fou. A beautiful film about the lives of these two men who spent a lifetime working, living and loving together.

I watched it in a private screening last week at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington as part of the French Film Festival in Sydney, but it is traveling around the country until the 10th of April, last day in Sydney is Sunday the 27th of March.

Anyway, back to the movie. It’s absolutely beautiful. I felt quite emotional throughout much of the film. It really was an emotional rollercoaster for me – some points I was happy, then I’d be sad, then happy, then really sad, a little sad, then happy.

What got me was the raw and honest love between Yves and Pierre, that two people could love eachother so much through the life they both led, and stuck it out through thick and thin, all the way to Yves death on the 1st of June 2008.

The documentary takes you on a journey through the highs and lows (but mainly highs) of the fashion empire which Yves created with Pierre, showcasing some of the most fabulous designs, not to mention the homes, artworks and sculptures the couple bought throughout their successful careers – all the way back to when Yves was Christian Dior’s assistant.

It’s the instrumental that begins the film, and sets the mood. This carries on throughout the film, adding to the desperation behind the kind, yet shy eyes of YSL. In interviews throughout the film, you see he finds it hard to make eye contact with people, and with the camera. He is almost permanently nervous.

It begins at the funeral of YSL in June 2008, and ends with the Christie’s auction which saw most of the couples art, furniture and sculptures sold for ten of millions of dollars each, including works from Mondrian, Matisse and Picasso. It was the most valuable private collection in history, raising $477 million dollars which partially went to the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation, which provides scientific research in fighting AIDS.

This is a MUST SEE film for any fashion lover, which is told from the heart and through the mouth of Pierre Bergé himself. A true French film, with passion and raw emotion which is captured in a way, that only French films can.

I left that cinema thinking about the film. That night I thought about it. The next day, thinking about it… and the day after that.

Maria Venuti Book Launch: A Whole Load Of Front

March 10th, 2011

It was the party to be at, and to be seen at. Maria Venuti‘s book launch for A Whole Load Of Front.

Also falling on her actual birthday, March the 7th saw many young and old celebrities, politicians and wealthy socialites fill the famous corporate fat cat hang out, Machiavelli on Clarence Street in Sydney.

It was truly a celebration of the fabulous, vivacious and exuberant life of Maria Venuti – which is now all documented in an entertaining rollercoaster of emotion, struggle, fame and secrets which are out on the table for all to read.

Draped in leopard skin ruffles and with her best assets to the fore, Maria’s book took centre stage next to a massive cake designed exclusively for Maria by Planet Cake. ‘It’s a bushfire darling’ said Maria as she blew out the 70 candles.

The honorary Alan Jones began the proceedings, to an audience including the contender for NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell, Shadow Treasurer Joe Hockey, Marie Ficarra, Max Markson, Henri Szeps, Peter Everett, Glenn A Baker, the delightful actress Lorrae Desmond, gorgeous Melissa Hoyer and Mary Lopez.

Alan Jones talked up Maria’s humble beginnings as an Italian living in Australia before revealing the moment that changed Maria’s life forever. Stood up by her date and standing on a Kings Cross sidewalk, Maria was invited by the legendary Ron Roman to one of his smoky jazz lounges. One coffee later and Maria had landed the singing role she was destined for.

Maria laughed, cried and shrieked with delight as Alan broke into song, “I just met a girl called Maria!”

But there was a serious tone to the evening, as Alan goes onto say, “For years, Maria has entertained the world, bringing happiness to everyone. Tonight those same people, from the highest level of politics like Barry O’Farrell and Joe Hockey and entertainment, made it their business to salute Maria. It is rewarding for Maria but gratifying for everyone as they had a chance to pay a long overdue tribute to an Australian icon.”

Stay tuned for a review and excerpts from the book – I promise this will be one you’ll be hanging on for!

Celebrities Lining Up For Jet Peel At Paramedical Skin Clinic

February 10th, 2011

If you know me well, you’ll know I love Melbourne. If you know me even better, you’ll know I love to look after my face and my skin – going to some pretty radical lengths to maintain my youthful appearance.

An amazing opportunity has come up for me to fly to Melbourne and try a brand new and amazing treatment which celebrities are lining up for. They are turning away from the knife, or painful injections and opting for non-surgical, less invasive procedures, to fight the signs of aging and maintain their youthful glow.

Celebrity Skin Guru, Ilesha Haywood of Paramedical Skin Clinic, whose clientele includes Dannii Minogue, Livinia Nixon, Sonia Kruger, Suzie Wilks, and Kimberley Davies, says that a new range of revolutionary skin treatments are helping celebrities maintain their enviable looks. So what the hell – I’m sold!

“Many celebrities today are turning their backs on botox, collagen, and invasive facelifts because they realize that they no longer need to subject themselves to these types of treatments. There are a host of new treatments that are non-invasive and leave clients literally looking years younger,” says Ilesha Haywood.

Yes I’m sold – but what is it? It’s one of Paramedical Skin Clinic’s new treatments, the Jet Peel. It’s favoured by celebrities for its natural, virtually painless skin treatment procedure that dramatically improves the appearance and texture of the skin.

The great news is that the same treatments celebrities use to maintain their skin are available to us – everyday men and women.

“Anyone can have the skin of a celebrity. Even if you have acne, pigmentation, or fine lines, this new era of skin treatments can turn back the clock, radically change the skin’s appearance, and leave anyone with great skin” Ilesha went on to say when we spoke over the phone.

It works by removing layers of dead skin cells, hydrating the skin with a moisturizing jet stream, and infuses oxygen into the deep dermis to recharge cells and help them to produce new collagen. It makes use of pressurized oxygen to create an exfoliative effect on the skin, leading to skin resurfacing. Sounds pretty exciting to me – and doesn’t involve injections!

“Following a course of Jet Peel treatments, it’s not unusual for our clients to say that they feel as if their skin looks 5-10 years younger!” says Ilesha.
