I’ve just finished up a week in Ibiza with some great friends from Australia. What am amazing time it was!
One of the wonderful things we got to do was visit Formentera, 6kms off the coast of Ibiza – which is part of Spain’s Balearic Islands. The island is only 19kms long, with a population of only 10,000 people.
I went there by yacht and was told to expect beaches similar, if not better then those in the Maldives. I didn’t think it was going to be possible.
But as I walked over the little sand dune and was presented with the photo I took above, I thought I was in heaven. White sand, mixed in with pink sandy ripples, the crystal clear water and the temperature absolutely perfect. This was my kind of place to escape the craziness of Ibiza.
If there is one place you’ve probably never heard of, that is a must see, this is the place! I just wish I had more time there to enjoy it. Next time!
